  • Sunday School seed planting activity – Sunday school might be the most “fertile soil” for sowing lessons about God’s creation. This lesson brings the outdoors inside for a hands-on creation care lesson.
  • Our Place in God’s World Garden Curriculum – This is a set of six biblically based lessons to be used in connection with gardening ministries. The theme of these lessons is rooted in Psalm 24:1-2 which proclaims our relationship, or place, within God’s world.
  • Creation Speaks – This website has several activities (divided up into age groups) that are designed to teach children about God’s creation. Each activity is paired with a biblical lesson so that your children will learn to associate the physical world with biblical truths.
  • Dig the Earth – This 4-part series of children’s lessons combines solid, bible-based teaching alongside a practical focus on the environment.
  • Acorns to Oaks – This environmental toolkit, published by Eco Congregation, is full of children’s stories, activities, and other resources to help children begin to care for God’s creation.
  • ReNew: The Green VBS – Grounded in Jesus’ Parable of the Sower, ReNew: The Green VBS brings together the Bible and environmental stewardship by serving in the community and demonstrating that being green can be easy, faithful, and fun.

  • Kids Planet – This website by Defenders of Wildlife is designed to both teach kids about wildlife and to show them how they can take care of animals.
  • The Lorax Project – This website is designed to inform kids (in fun and interesting ways) about protecting forests and endangered species.
  • Marvel, Believe, Care – This website has a creation care coloring book, activity book, Bible bingo, and Bible flash cards.
  • Kids for Saving Earth – This site has information and resources for both parents and children on taking care of the earth.
  • Energy Kids – This website, part of the U.S. Energy Information Administration, has great information on energy. It is very visual, informative, and accessible for a variety of ages.
  • RecycleWorks Kids – Filled with games, quizzes, and lots of fun information, this website is a great resource for teaching and learning about recycling.
